Organizer and speaker for annual (2018-present) Science Q&A video chat event at Holmes Middle School, IL. Co-organized event with 7th grade science teachers; answered questions for 12 classrooms (~ 200 students + parents)

Wildlife Conservation outreach at Mpala Research Centre, Laikipia, Kenya – Spoke with local students from Reteti Primary School about the importance of understanding animal behavior for conservation

Expanding Your Horizons – Volunteered with middle school girls STEM conference

Super Techno Science Night – Hosted birdsong and ecology learning activities at College Station, TX elementary school

Darwin Day – Created and led a “Biodiversity in Your Backyard” booth for the university and local community event

BioBlitz – counted birds to contribute to the BioBlitz community bird count data and then spoke with community members from our booth, teaching them about local birds

Camp Howdy – Created and orchestrated birdsong, bird color vision and “migration-game” ecology learning activities for the Girl Scouts – Howdy Day Camp event and spoke with three hundred Texas Girl Scouts about birds and ecology

Skype A Scientist – I regularly participate in Skype A Scientist, giving me the opportunity to speak to diverse groups of students of all age groups in different parts of the world about my research, ethology, ecology, conservation and careers in science

Texas A&M Undergraduate Ornithology Course – Gave a talk about my research to undergraduate students

Woodshole/VIERS – gave a talk about acoustics to local Virgin Islands school children

Rancho Cacachilas, Baja California Sur, Mexico – Spoke about local bats and showed bats to National Geographic Committee for Research and Exploration as well as many Nat Geo Explorers visiting the ranch where I was doing fieldwork
