Outreach
Through Skype A Scientist I enjoy engaging with classrooms from all over the world, as well as taking part in and hosting local outreach events.
Super Techno Science Night! I really enjoyed hosting birdsong and ecology learning activities during this great event at Southwood Valley Elementary School, College Station, TX.
Developing and leading ecology learning activities about birdsong and bird color vision, as well as playing the “migration-game” and speaking with three hundred Texas Girl Scouts about birds and ecology was such a wonderful experience. Thanks for having me, Howdy Day Camp!
I had so much fun with my Texas A&M University, Applied Biodiversity Science Program colleagues planning and hosting our “Biodiversity in Your Backyard” booth for the Texas A&M University and local community “Darwin Day” event.
